Hi, I'm Shannon, and I'm a Michi-Kiwi who lives in Auckland, New Zealand. I graduated in 2006 from Michigan State University with a BS in Fisheries & Wildlife, baked professionally in Iowa for a while, then moved to New Zealand and completed a PGDipSci in Geography/GIS at the University of Auckland in 2008. I currently live in NZ with my wife, Amy, and work for on a massive government map scanning project while completing my MS in Geography. I'm an avid traveler, spent a year studying in the UK, and do a heck of a lot of poking around outdoors. I am also a bookworm, writer, rollerblader, and amateur photographer. I'm also very handy for fetching things from the top shelf.
I'll be the first to confess I'm a massive geek. I've spent the last 15 years immersed in the community around Robert Jordan's fantasy book series, The Wheel of Time, holding multiple administrative roles at several websites, and even running my own site for some years (The Great Hall). If you're a WoT fan you'll probably know me better as Eniara Kisharad. I have been privileged to serve as staff at Dragon*Con for the WoT track and signings for Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. I am also a huge fan of Xena: Warrior Princess and Lucy Lawless.
